Trigger Witch

Wizardry and witchcraft are deeply rooteded in ancient traditions, complex spells, elaborate arrangements, and other intricate details. A powerful witch who can cast powerful spells is a strong foe. Rainbite’s Trigger Witch is no match for ancient weapons and hokey religions, according to Han Solo, the legendary smuggler.

The Trigger Witch has a very hectic twin stick shooter. The game’s sweet and sugary paint is reminiscent of classic 16-bit games such as The Legend of Zelda. In Trigger Witch the role of Colette is that of a young witch who attends an academy for witchcraft. After mysterious events, she builds her weaponry and sets off across the land. Colette’s world has magic still being used, although it has been replaced by the far more powerful firepower of rifles and handguns.

Trigger Witch

Colette takes on the adventure of a dwarven princess, blasting through dungeons, over snowy mountainstops, and everywhere in between. As you progress through the game you will acquire a variety different weapons, which allow you to approach each area differently. You have more control over the effectiveness of each weapon and can upgrade it in many different ways.

The twin stick shooting with Trigger Witch gives you mastery over the placement of shots, quick swapping weapon and reloading weapons, healing, and an incredibly useful dash movement.

As the game progresses, enemies and their tactics become harder and more difficult. Colette becomes increasingly hostile and makes every input critical to success. A solid feeling of achievement is achieved when you can get through a particularly hard kill room.

Trigger Witch

Although the game is fun and challenging, the repetitive gameplay can make it boring. Colette will find herself navigating through waves after waves of enemies, with little else. The added bonus of drop-in gaming with co-op helps break up the monotony that can accompany the series of battles.

Trigger Witch

Trigger Witch is a little lacking in combat. The puzzles aren’t particularly interesting, but the dungeon-map designs are useful and the story is brief and ultimately nonsensical. Although the concept of a witch abandoning her spells in favor of picking up a weapon of war is an interesting one, it doesn’t feel as absurd as it sounds. The use of guns by witches is actually considered to be a very normal part of the game’s world.

This makes the majority the story feel almost like a character living in a normal world, until the last dungeon changes the story.

Trigger Witch

Trigger Witch is an excellent twin stick shooter. It has some basic progression elements. The experience of building and using the arsenal is enjoyable and allows for customization. The very idea of Trigger Witch may seem absurd and over-the-top, but it was actually quite bland and boring. Trigger Witch has a charming visual style and a very good gameplay.
